Latest from Hessam Abrishami

Hessam's process is intuitive by nature. He approaches a canvas with no direct idea of the composition, palette or artistic fundamentals. It comes from a place in his heart, a place of emotion wherein a feeling is expressed. He starts with a single stroke of color applied to the canvas. He stays within the emotion he desire to share, holding that feeling in his heart. As he applies the colors that best express those feelings, the form of the work begins to emerge.

Julia approaches each new work with an open mind. Believing that the art is a reflection of artist's attitude and it is more important that how you paint rather than what you paint. She is always finding inspiration in unusual places. "I approach each new work with the idea that I want people to sense it rather than just see it, in much the same way music is felt and not simply heard. If my work speaks to people on an emotional level then I have achieved what I set out to do."

Eventov's paintings are characterized by a thick appli0cation of acrylic paint using a selection of different sized palette knives. The paint is applied as both blended and pure colors. Smaller knives are used to create depth and detail in her paintings.
"My work is my passion. It is everything I ever saw, was excited about and love, put on canvas. I enjoy the process of painting itself very much and can't wait to be back in my studio after my travels and get my hands on my paints and brushes. I want to convey my love of life, my excitement about wondrous things life has to offer and share it with the viewers."

"There is a sense of mystery within my work, the same mystery that surrounds every individual as they embark on life's journey. When I paint, I begin with a sense of where to go and how I want to feel, and by the end find myself somewhere unique and different from what I intended. In this sense, I have discovered a new part of myself, a new direction I can build a series of pieces from, a foundation for the soul."

Latest from Pietro Adamo

To Adamo, art is ultimately about expression. It is his way of liberating his ideas and emotions. To realize this expression, he has developed the careful and sophisticated language of painting. He states, “I am once again reminded of the delicate balance of things great and small. Color and texture from nature and simple iconography from my ancestry combine to form the language of my work.”
His work is also very much an expression of action. He loves the process of creating the piece, working the medium into unique textures and compositions. Only when the expression is sustained can he step away and leave the painting. “Painting,” he says, is very much about the process of discovering problems and then solving them.”

Latest work by Terri Hallman

For Hallman, her art is in the process itself, which she regards as the essence of her work. One the surface, the work may appear simple. Yet there is considerable emotional depth inherent in the artist's multi-layered approach.
It is "Layers" she says, "That expose the passage of time. How somethings are covered up and how others are revealed. Each completed work possesses a unique history, in which the layers represent the way things were and the finished piece defines the way things are".
